Muntons Premium Gold

Muntons Premium Gold beer kits are produced from carefully selected and malted English 2-row barley, blended with hops supplied by England's most renowned hop growers. By following the simple instructions the beer produced is perfectly balanced in maltiness, bitterness, and aroma, capturing the round, mellow flavour of the quintessential English pub pint.

Smugglers Special Premium Ale 5% abv. Colour: 15 to 20 EBC. Bitterness: 35 to 45 EBU. A light, malty beer balanced with choice aromatic and bittering hops.

Old Conkerwood Black Ale 5% abv. Colour: 85 to 95 EBC. Bitterness: 35 to 45 EBU. A distinctive black coloured beer with an aromatic, hoppy character.

Midas Touch Golden Ale 5% abv. Colour: 10 to 15 EBC. Bitterness: 35 to 45 EBU. A refreshing, light Pale Ale with a distinctive, hoppy taste.

Muntons Gold

Muntons Gold beer kits combine premium brewing malt and the choicest hops to produce traditional beers that comply with the 'Reinheitsgebot', the Bavarian 15th century purity law.

India Pale Ale 1039 to 1043 OG. Colour: 22 to 28 EBC. Bitterness: 17 to 23 EBU. Keeping the British troops supplied with fresh beer out in the British East Indies proved to be a problem. The lengthy sea journey spoilt beers of the time and therefore a special beer was brewed to survive the journey. India Pale Ale was brewed to a high alcoholic strength, which kept bacteria at bay during sailing ship's voyage, the beer was then watered down on arrival to normal pub strength for the troops. The officers, of course, had access to the non-diluted version! The kit provides instructions for the troop's tipple at 1041 OG, or at the Higher Ranks Reserve strength of 1061 OG.

Highland Heavy Ale 1039 to 1043 OG. Colour: 50 to 60 EBC. Bitterness: 45 to 55 EBU. In the remote highlands of Scotland way back in the early 1700's, small breweries started producing rich, dark, hoppy ales known locally as 'Heavy'. Highland Heavy Ale is a beer designed to emulate the distinctive rich bitter brewed in the Scottish Highlands. It has a dark, malty flavour balanced by a generous helping of hops.

Old English Bitter 1039 to 1043 OG. Colour: 27 to 33 EBC. Bitterness: 45 to 55 EBU. Old English Bitter rekindles the full-bodied, rich ales of Victorian Britain.

Continental Pilsner 1039 to 1043 OG. Colour: 5 to 7 EBC. Bitterness: 27 to 33 EBU. Continental Pilsner embodies the full character of European larger-style beers, light and delicate, yet richly satisfying. Served best cold, this beer preserves the delicate balance of natural hop bitterness with the sweetness of malt.

Docklands Porter 1039 to 1043 OG. Colour: 90 to 100 EBC. Bitterness: 17 to 23EBU. At the turn of the century a beer was brewed especially for the dockyard workers of the bustling Port of London. Named after these strong men, Porter had a uniquely rich and satisfying flavour which quenched the thirst of dockers after long shifts loading and unloading sea-going vessels from around the world. Docklands Porter recaptures the unique flavour of traditional Victorian Porters. Its light hop character and full malt flavour under lie a rich colour, achieved by only using roasted malts.

Imperial Stout 1039 to 1043 OG. Colour:225 to 275 EBC. Bitterness: 50 to 60 EBU. It was Catherine The Great's love for strong British stout that in the early 1780's brought Imperial Russian into the Baltic countries. Imperial stout captures the essence of this truly classic beer. With its full body, rich black colour and distinctive dry bitterness capped by a smooth, creamy head, it is a beer to be savoured and remembered.
